How Electrical vehicles important in today's world

Hello everyone!
Today I'm here with an interesting topic "Electric vehicles"

Relevance :
Now a days electric cars are becoming more important because people realized that it saves lots of money on their fuel costs and pollution free as well .
7-8 hours of charge can make bike engine to run 50 k/m, These vehicles are low cost. Instead of wasting petrol and diesel engines we can definitely use these electric vehicles this makes lot of sense.
It has been predicted that there will be around 40 million EV's in 2040. Feels like this is great

Introduction :
Since before 1880's there were no cars which is developed by the electrical engines like around 1832
Robert Anderson developed the first electrical vehicle but this isn't famous till 1870's but later. An English invents the electrical vehicle in 1884.
The first company develops electric vehicle is General motors actually many aren't supported this project but later NASA helped general motors to raise the profile.

What are Electric Cars?.
The electric cars is an automobile which usually moves from the electrical batteries.

Benefits of Electric Vehicles :
These doesn't depend on fossil fuels like petrol, diesel.
These EVs are Eco-friendly.
These Electric vehicles are power On delivery.
The main benefit is these are silent operators they doesn't make any noise or sound while riding it.
Electric Vehicles are known for clear air conditioning system.

Disadvantages of Electric Vehicles :
The batteries of EVs are more expensive.
Batteries in EVs are not recycled (we can use only once).
Charging stations for EVs are insufficient.
These EVs costs more than its parts.
Driving range is not enough it may run only 80-120km for 7-8 hours of charge.

How does it work :
As we all know electric cars work mainly on electricity. Since it runs on electricity alone, there are no engines in the vehicle. Instead it has an electric motor to run the wheels. There is a supply system which provides the required electrical energy to the car. These components are discussed below :

1. Electronic battery : The batteries are used for storing the energy. These batteries are generally made of lithium-ion. These batteries supply electrical energy to the motor and helps the motor to run. Larger the size of the battery more will be the stored energy.

2. Electric motor :  The duty of the motor is to use the energy provided by the battery to run the wheels of the car. There can be one or more motors in the car depending on the requirement of propulsion.

3. Inverter : The electric cars usually have an inverter because the battery stores the energy in the form of Direct Current(DC). But most of the electric cars run on Alternating Current (AC). Therefore an inverter is used to perform the operation of converting AC to DC.

4. Regenerative braking system: The electric cars have a regenerative braking system which will convert the kinetic energy of movement of the vehicle to electric energy .This not only helps in providing a braking system but also saves the electric energy. The saved electric energy is stored in the batteries and can be used for future purposes.

5. Power Control Unit : This unit is the main part of the vehicle. It controls the activities of all the components of the vehicle like the charging the batteries, providing useful information to the driver and controls the running of the motor.

Conclusion :
As discussed in the above topic, we feel that the need for electric cars is crucial in decreasing global warming, which is increasing at alarming speeds in the present and may pose a serious threat for our future generations. Also the gasoline fuel prices are increasing with time and the source of gasoline fuels are becoming extinct day by day.
Therefore it is crucial that we develop electric cars as soon as possible with the help of new technologies and create awareness among people regarding the use of electric cars. A problem that we encounter here is the expensiveness of electric cars ,not to mention their performance is not very good when compared to normal cars. So let’s hope that new discoveries are made in this field to further improve electric cars so that they are widely used in the future.
