So We know that Now a days due to lockdowns basically because of Covid-19 Situations Movies are releasing on OTT Platforms like Hotstar, Prime Video, Netflix, etc

Before we discuss about OTT Platforms do you know how normally releases movies earn? If you don't know,
lets see basically movies Are released in theatres so they get nearly 45% - 50% Of Earnings From Cinema theatres And The remaining earnings from Satellites, I mean from TV Channel And YouTube Channels And other platforms. TV channels will buy movies from Producers For Contract And Telecasts themes for A certain period of time.

Now let's discuss about OTT Platforms, OTT stands for over-top-time and it mean media services which offers viewers to direct stream videos on Internet
And at starting and before Covid-19 pandemic only Web series and Other series was releasing on this OTT Platforms but now Bollywood are releasing on this platform so what this OTT Platforms is do is they will buy movie for A certain fixed price and release them on their platform for example let's say film making budget of A movie is 6crores And The film producer will sells that movie for 12crores that means he will get profit of 50% at One time. Even if the film fails the film producer will get 6crores as it's fixed price so it's good platform for low film productions but what if we talk about huge movies like which film making budget is 100crores Or more than that? For that kind of huge budget movies this OTT Platforms aren't good because huge movie will get more and more earnings from box offices And as this OTT Platforms buys for fixed price it's not that good so now I hope you got A clear picture on how movies earn from OTT Platforms.
