Hello Geeks!
Here I'm back with new most important article about recent WhatsApp privacy policy update, I don't know whether you read our old articles or just scrolled them but! Please do read this article carefully to understand new WhatsApp Policies, I'm sure that you're a WhatsApp user so you must know about this update let's get in
Might be many of you had seen Pop-up coming on your WhatsApp as below
But as its like formality that we usually CLICK on agree without reading it, isn't it?. Yeah!, But in this case we shouldn't do that because more than anything it's about our information (Privacy) and our information (Privacy) is wealth.
NOTE : This information is about WhatsApp Privacy Polices where in they're included in their Terms & Conditions.
First let's see about WhatsApp history then, later on we will dive into the New Update and understand it well. Initially WhatsApp was owned by Jan Koum And Brian Acton but later Facebook, Inc, Mark Zuckerberg bought WhatsApp for US$19 Billion.
And its end to end encryption messaging service that means whatever we send (texts, media, voice files, documents etc) will not be stored temporarily or permanently on any server, they will be directly sent to our message recipient so its marked as most secured messaging App as of now, everyone might know about this Information, Now coming back to our main topic, from 8th February WhatsApp is going to implement New Privacy Policies, WhatsApp is going integrate with Facebook.
They're going to collect our data (here they refers to Facebook, Inc Team) And if we don't accept their new policies they mention they will terminate our WhatsApp Account permanently, the Information they collect includes,
‣ business interaction (how you do it)
‣ Log files / crash report
‣ Group name / group description
‣ Our last seen
‣ Our About
‣ Location
‣ Hardware model
‣ Battery Percentage
‣ Signal Strength
‣ App Version
‣ Mobile Operator
‣ IP Address
‣ Facebook Unique Identifier
Isn't it a huge information about us?. More importantly all this information is going to be stored globally (US Server's). At this moment doubt might be arrived in you,
Will they make our data (Information) Public?
Nope, because as we know WhatsApp is a Big company and they're not going to leak our data easily they will secure it with high protection, they're gonna use it for software purposes (To update & Improve their services). And for those who don't care much about their privacy its not a big concern for them but those who are very sensitive about their data may be have some concerns about this, but listen they're not going to keep our information in front of public they're going to analyse few information like, In which location WhatsApp usage is higher, and In which device is that Accurate, at which time we're using it more and according this they will improve their services, But for those who aren't comfortable with this new policy they can move to alternative
And if you may ask me which is best Alternative, then it's The Signal Messaging App Which is the most high level secure messaging app. The American whistleblower Edward Snowden is using Signal everyday (He recently tweeted) And Our Real Life Tony Stark! Our World's New Richest Person Elon Reeve Musk Also twitted Use Signal So if you someone who is not even ready to share your piece of information.
